Competitions and Outings
The Watsonian golf season will open with an outing to Gullane on Sunday 22nd March. This was a great success last year and we hope to attract even more members this spring. The summer outing is, once again, to be held at Goswick, Berwick-upon-Tweed on Sunday 31st May with the Muirfield outing (and championship qualifier) on Thursday 9th July. These events are increasing in popularity and I would urge early entry to avoid disappointment.
At the suggestion of Alan Williamson, who is kindly donating a trophy, a WGC Senior Championship is to be inaugurated at Bruntsfield Links on Thursday 14th May. It is proposed to rotate this competition annually between BLGS, Royal Burgess and Mortonhall and we hope to attract fellow Watsonians at these venues to compete and enjoy what should be a very social competition.

Membership
Anyone who attended the school who has an interest in this great game should be a member of the Watsonian Golf Club. If you know any Watsonians at your individual club who is not a member, please approach them or pass their details to David McMurray. It is only by growing the number of members that the Club will continue to thrive.
